Leslie Steigelman is a fine artist and an IATSE USA 829 Scenic Artist in major motion picture film production. She earned her MFA from the New York Academy of Art, and her BFA from the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC. where she received the Leon Berkowitz Memorial Painting Award.
Her career began in window display before transitioning to museum exhibit production, equipping her with a diverse and versatile skill set. Over the years, she has worked across various creative industries, specializing in fine art painting, large-scale murals, realistic aging effects, soft-sculpture props, and detailed object recreations for theater, film, and advertising. Her ability to transform spaces and objects with precision and artistry has made her work highly sought after.
One of Leslie’s most notable works is Tillie, a major contribution to Asbury Park’s history that preserves the spirit of its amusement past. She first painted the Wonder Bar exterior in 2004 for an advertisement and later redesigned it to better reflect the Palace Amusements era, incorporating a clown, a roller coaster, bumper cars, and other nostalgic elements.
